And then there were four…Victoria Napata is another one of our recent additions to the Family of ECCT. She is a Melbourne-based Economics & Finance Graduate from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and is joining the Australian-based participants in the Melbourne Marathon on 14 October 2012. Vicky will be in the half marathon race which is 21.1 km.
Like all the other Australian participants,Vicky has set up a fundraising page on the fundraising site Mycause.com.au. She says: “I have been doing fun runs for the last couple of years but this is my first time to do it so as to contribute to such a worthy cause. So I’ve decided to help raise money for the ECCT for my inaugural Melbourne Marathon half marathon.
Vicky has a target of raising $600, which will feed a family of four with the basic essentials for six months. She gave this inspiring and touching statement: “the patients the ECCT is supporting do not have sufficient income to buy food, yet recovering cancer patients need good nutrition. One of the things I could never imagine is going hungry, so my goal is to raise $600 which will feed a family for six months. A healthy body needs good nutrition and this small donation will provide bare necessities for a family that desperately needs it.”
We thank you Vicky….
