Wow, we have continued to have a fantastic start to the year with the Sponsor a Cancer Patient Campaign.

In our last blog we confirmed that we have welcomed a donor who wishes to remain anonymous – who is sponsoring one of the patients we support – Rejoice Chiguvare. The sponsor is helping Rejoice with school fees, a school bag, uniform and shoes for her daughter, Marcia for 2014; endoscopy and echocardiogram costs for Rejoice, who besides having cervical cancer, also has heart issues.

The ECCT believes in supporting the five patients we are currently supporting with the pressing needs they have which surround their cancer so as to help ease their journey. 2014 will be a transitional year for us as we continue planning and implementation of sustainable projects which will assist the patients to support themselves and their families. We will be publishing our vision for 2014 within the next few weeks so keep your eyes posted on our blog!

In our last blog, we showed you a picture of Rejoice going to pay for her endoscopy which she had this week. We would now like to show you the latest happy images of Rejoice shopping for Marcia’s school provisions. 9 year old Marcia is in Grade 5 at Hatcliffe Primary School. Our Project Manager, Marshall Mutsamwira, went along with them and took pictures of the excursion. See below…

There were no school uniform sizes available for Marcia in Harare city so our Project Manager, Marshall Mutsamwira journeyed with them to one of the big markets out of town - Mbare. There they were able to find a size for Marcia.
