*Flier by Gabi Knipe Creative

It’s 2014 and as has now become the tradition in Melbourne, Australia since fundraising occurred in the Melbourne Marathon Festivals   in 2012 and 2013, we are now running in a new race – Run Melbourne, in support of the now four cancer patients that the ECCT is supporting in Zimbabwe. Run Melbourne is taking place on Sunday 27 July 2014. In October 2012, we had 5  runners from all over Australia participate in various races in the Melbourne Marathon Festival. Read about their achievement here. Then in October 2013, we had 3 runners participate in the 10km race in the Melbourne Marathon Festival. Read about their achievement here.

In total, $3285 has been raised to support the patients with medical costs, food and school fees for their children. For this July 2014, we invite people from all over Australia to participate in this event on Sunday 27 July 2014 by contacting us to register your interest, which entitles you to become one of the global family members of the ECCT community.

To participate in any of the races in Run Melbourne 2014, we ask that you tell your friends, family and work colleagues about your race and ask them to sponsor you for any amount. All funds will go to support the four cancer patients who the ECCT are supporting through the Sponsor a Cancer Patient Campaign and will go to pay for some of the medical costs for the patients, food, and school fees for some of their children. Furthermore this year we are starting the setup of sustainable projects for the patients so that they can support themselves and their families long-term. We will be starting with one project at a time and will be assisting Rejoice with setting up a chicken coop project.
