At ECCT we can’t believe that it’s nearly the end of the year! And what a year it’s been. We have been busy this year, establishing our position as part of the National Aged Network Zimbabwe with a group of other organisations based in Zimbabwe including the Zimbabwe Farmers Union and more. We have also faced the deaths of 2 of our cancer patients – Takudzwa in February 2014 and Sipelile more recently in June 2014 .

Last weekend our team was able to deliver food to the 4 families of the patients we are supporting. Below are some images from the day. The donations which enabled this food to be delivered has come from your donations, with the most recent donations being from sponsorship of ECCT Founder Teurai Chanakira and ECCT Family Member Florence – who both ran in Run Melbourne in July 2014 to fundraise for the patients. From the bottom of our hearts – we thank you for your support!

In just 2 weeks on Sunday 12 October 2014, ECCT Founder Teurai Chanakira will be running with a group of people in various races in the Melbourne Marathon Festival 2014 to fundraise and support the families. The runners are asking friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them as they put on their trainers – ready to race the miles for the support of these families.
