Another year – another run completed to support the 4 cancer patients and their families that the ECCT is currently supporting! Today Florence and ECCT Founder Teurai ran 10km as part of the Melbourne Marathon Festival 2014. As a way of fundraising for the patients and their families, they both asked family, friends and colleagues to sponsor them with donations which then go to help the patients with medications, food hampers and school fees for some of their children.

The mother and sister of Virimayi, 1 of the cancer patients we are assisting - receiving their food delivery last week. The ECCT also supports Virimayi's sister - Tanyaradzwa with school fees. Rutendo will play a part in making a difference to the lives of the ECCT patients & their families.

The mother and sister of Virimayi, 1 of the cancer patients we are assisting – receiving their food delivery in September from money raised from Run Melbourne July 2014. The ECCT also supports Virimayi’s sister – Tanyaradzwa with school fees.

Florence and Teurai also ran in Run Melbourne in July 2014 for the same reason and raised just over $500 which benefited the families directly (see image above).

We will update you with the amount raised as soon as we have collected all funds as some sponsors are still in the process of sending donations through. In the meantime, please see some images and videos from the amazing day below.
